You will see various elements inspired by those games, but also many new elements. The game is created by Josh May, who has always been fascinated by the various ways puzzle elements interact with each other. You can find switches that change elements of the levels, but also robots who like to toggle those switches. Rockets will fly around the levels in different patterns, and you are able to manipulate those patterns by shooting and removing blocks or toggling switches.
This makes Platformania more of a puzzle than a platformer sometimes. And everyone with a computer and a browser can design their own puzzles and levels!
